Character Information Name: Brittany Meyer Age: 18 Fandom: Glee Major: Undecided Dorm Room Desired: (Building, Suite, Room || All Suites Are Co-Ed) Kellogg, Suite 205 Class: (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior) Freshman Occupation: Simi's Sparklies Point In Fandom Taken From: Current Brief History: Brittany is a Dutch-American cheerleader who joins the glee club with Quinn and Santana in the episode "Showmance". Her credit in the yearbook photo at the end of Mattress is simply "Brittany." Brittany finds recipes confusing, cheats off learning disabled classmates, thinks the square root of four is rainbows and doesn't know her right hand from her left. After joining Glee, Brittany appears at first to be as malicious and manipulative as Quinn and Santana, but she quickly assimilates with the Glee group, forming comradeships, if not friendships, with the less popular students, assisting Kurt with a music video he creates at his house, and high-fiving and nudging other members of the group in a playful manner during moments of happiness. The more we see of her, the more she's the type of person who can't get along with everyone. She teaches everyone in the glee club hairography saying, "It works best when you pretend like you're getting tasered. It's like cool epilepsy." She's been dancing and doing gymnastics for pretty much her whole life, and she's extremely good at both (which is good, because she doesn't have much else going for her.) She's definitely a follower more than a leader. She doesn't play by anyone else's rules, but that's mostly because she doesn't know them. She also doesn't seem to share the hang ups the other people on the show have, her biggest flaw is that she follows in Quinn and Santana's footsteps, and, let's face it, they're bitchy. But Brittany herself is friends with almost all the students we've seen, from the Cheerios to the unpopular students and the kids with learning disablities. She doesn't really see the differences in people, or at least that's what I think it is. She doesn't hold grudges, and she's not the jealous type. The only romantic relationship of hers we've heard about was just in passing (Santana: Sex isn't dating. B: If it were, Santana and I would be dating.) doesn't seem to actually be a relationship, and either Brittany doesn't care at all about Santana (doubtful, at the very least they're best friends and that's not small, considering Santana's personality), or she just doesn't care at all that Santana pretty much sleeps with everyone (it's been implied that she was in a 'relationship' with Mike, and she's definitely slept with Puck and as of Sectionals, it looks like she still is.) Nothing else has been said about Brittany's love life, though, so her sexuality isn't entirely clear either. I personally don't think she fits any group, she doesn't really understand group separations, so I doubt she's given it any thought at all. She's also, interestingly, the only character that hasn't been mocked/slushied/ostracized for forming friendships with the more unpopular characters in Glee (Quinn certainly bitched Finn out for it), which I'm going to assume is either because everyone likes her (doubtful, her simplicity and lack of brain/mouth filter and cheerio status is bound to have offended someone, even if we haven't seen it) or because the whole school's scared of Santana, and she's made it clear that Brittany's off limits for that. More likely, because Santana is the HBIC of the school, even when Quinn was Queen, Santana was the Enforcer, let's say. Brittany's more the one who held their purses while they waged war.
No doubt everyone's going to wonder how she got into college. PB: Heather Morris
